As common as the "futuristic" theme in fashion has been becoming lately, Nicholas Ghesquiere has mastered it in all of his collections for Balenciaga. Every collection is new and fresh with a new hidden meaning, and every piece is a complete knockout. Even on the softer, feminine side for the Resort 2010 and 2011 collections, they show the futuristic side of the classic femme woman. The Resort collections of '10 and '11 happen to be my two favorite collections by him. I can't wait to see what else he has under his sleeve for us!

i've been on an intense shopping spree via ebay lately. i've been bidding constantly on everything i want, like, need, want, need, want, want, need day and night. if i'm at work, i tell my boyfriend he has to bid for me or else i'll lose the bidding (intense). but i've also been selling a bunch of my old clothes or clothes that sadly don't fit me anymore on ebay. it's pretty fun... all this craziness via ebay (i'm pretty sure i said the word 'ebay' over 5 times in just a few short sentences). so i advise you to check out my own ebay store, and if you can recommend any ebay stores to me that would be faaaaaabulous!

1. t by alexander wang tank dress my boyfriend actually ended up winning this one for me while i was at work (i'm a nut) for only $38. it's not exactly like the dress in the picture, but it's close enough. it has a very low-scoop back and more of a shredded instead of a straight edge to the fabric. perfect dress to just throw over a bathing suit at the beach! 2. rodarte for target champagne dress i missed out on the whole rodarte for target line, so i decided to look it up for cheaper via ebay. i bought the silk/lace dress in champagne (although i preferred yellow) but once i got it, it didn't fit me right. i loved it much more in the picture than on myself. it's a size small, so if anyone would like it, just holler. i ended up buying a cute low-scoop neck animal print top by rodarte also from the target line, but again, it doesn't fit me well. it's a size small, so again, if anyone would want it, just holler. 3. topshop metallic rose knit sweater i'm in looooove with this sweater. especially since i passed up on this incredible peach knit cardigan when i was at topshop a few months ago for $90 but since i bought this one for only $50, i'm much happier. i just hate how the thread gets caught on my rings constantly. it pulls out a lot, so i have to be very careful. but the sweater looks incredible in person. this picture doesn't even do it justice! 4. current/elliott cloud wash denim jacket another item that i'm incredible happy with and have already worn twice. beige and black acid washed denim jacket. perfection for spring. i couldn't be happier with it. 5. all saints 'ceri' dress a really beautiful dress i bought basically just because i liked it, since i definitely don't have anything to wear it to... but i'll make sure i do. eventually.

currently was just bidding on a polka dotted elizabeth and james sweater but i just lost to it by $1, boo! good thing there's still hope for the gray polka dotted alexander mcqueen button-up, helmut lang sheer tops, t by alexander wang black cowl tank, theory leather leggings, elise overland leather fur jacket, acne snakeskin dress, and another alexander wang cowl neck knit dress. wish me luck ;) and visit my store!!! i'll love you forever.

givenchy. I think everyone was blown away by this collection. a collection of red, white, black, leopard-print, beautiful lace, incredible pleats, feminine and masculine shapes, and very sharply tailored jackets and trousers. my favorite piece is the red sharp suit with the few brooches on the jacket. brooches are the best, really. IMO, it could always make an outfit and tone down a fancy-shmancy look.

cynthia rowley. I adore this collection to pieces. I love the chiffon dresses, the dark denim, the metallic plaid dress, the paisleys and florals, the geometric shape cardigan; the whole vintage look that the collection gives off. even better, the accessories made the clothes. the gold 'fish' necklaces (I would own in a second), floral or color-blocked ankle socks paired chunky heels, and small and large purses galore with a cute little fringe connected to it.

calvin klein. I love the simplicity of this collection; very peaceful, composed, and quiet. nothing from this collection was over the edge, it was flawless. the boxy blazer jackets and long coats, the hems and pleats of the silk dresses were beautifully done. I liked the way Francisco Costa designed the clothes for this collection. the pointed platform heels are probably one of the most beautiful shoes I've seen in a while. if only I could have a pair for my closet...

christopher kane. um, can you say incredible?! christopher kane's resort collection has to be one of my favorites this year, which definitely surprised me. I'm not a huge fan of kane [although I did love his last resort collection] but I will congratulate him; well done. I'm in love with the contrast between the lights & darks, along with the incredible cosmic starlit astrology prints. my favorite of the collection has to be the frilled flared-out skirt with the chiffon biker jacket and tops. the maribou-trimmed platforms are the cutest and perfect touch to the collection.

is anyone still in awe over these babies? the colors, the heel, the shape, the texture, the straps; everything about this shoe is impeccable. i will honestly admit, i thought the Miu Miu kitty heels were the 'it' shoe for me; the perfect shoe, but now... i have laid my eyes on these and i am completely in love; drooling instantly whenever i see the perfection of the different color blocks in the heel and the oxford-like lace-up or double-strap buckles. if only i could get my hands on these beautiful Balenciagas, i would never have a dire need for another shoe again !

so i just woke up & i'm waiting for my boyfriend to come home from work (an hour & 45 minutes left D;)! i'm contemplating watching either the wire or curb your enthusiasm but i decided i should update my blog first since it hasn't been updated in quite some time. my birthday was last week (i'm now 20 waaa waaa) and i quit my job at francesca's. retail just isn't for me. i want to find a job that i won't be complaining about constantly or quit just after a few months. we'll see what i come up with...

lately i've been spending my $$ like crazy on clothes, shoes, jewelry, and now i'm broke! i was in new york city the other day with my boyfriend 'cause we had tickets to a sean price concert at bb kings, but beforehand i just had to go to topshop. i came across an adorable floral cropped-denim jacket for only $20 on sale, as well as this pink plaid dress for also $20. i bought this incredible necklace too, that i haven't taken off my neck yet... hehe.

this past friday I ended up going to New Hope, PA with my boyfriend and a couple of friends to see the fireworks, get a bite to eat, and... get my monroe pierced! It wasn't a planned thing but I've been wanting it for years so I decided, why not? It's been a pain in the ass to take care of and it hurt like a bitch but it's worth it! I think it's cute, even if I'm still swollen D'; and I thought it'd be a nice little treat for myself since I've been working like crazy. and this upcoming week I'll only have two days off, and that's including my birthday, the tenth of july. I almost had to work on my birthday, and believe me, I was not happy to hear that. I'm not so thrilled with this new job of mine, to be quite honest and I've been stressing myself out over little retail jobs during my summer. I really need to learn to relax!

dutch. I've been listening to this duo for the past week now; daily, on repeat. I never heard something so peaceful and soothing, yet so sad, sympathetic, and mysterious. Dutch consists of Liz Fullerton's beautiful melodic vocals and Jedi Mind Trick's DJ Stoupe's incredible beats. Fullerton has sang on a few of Jedi Mind Trick's tracks before ("Razorblade Salvation" & "Death Messiah") and Stoupe wanted to form a new project on the side, and thought Fullerton would be perfect for the vocals. I really hope this collaboration continues on. I've been looking for new music to listen to and this is exactly what I've been looking for. I will admit though, props to my boyfriend for introducing them to me, or else I would have never found them!

so i'm really into this editorial called 'celebrity skin' that was in the magazine Paper Planes. It's a shoot that krystal simpson (who we all should know, but for the ones who don't it's blogger, what is reality anyway) did with it girl, becka diamond back in february. I just love the crazy colors and prints in all the outfits, the pink-streaked blonde hair (which I definitely wish I could pull off by the way), and of course, all the Miu Miu, Versace, Proenza Schouler, and other incredible designers throughout the spread. the theme of the editorial is almost cheesy but at the same time too amazing not to take your eyes off of! and did I mention how much I'm in love with the sunglasses on krystal where she's wearing Versace? well, yes, I adore. however, I'm not a fan of becka diamond, so I would've been much happier if she wasn't one of the modelsl. I think she looks like an alien on crack, but hey, that's just me.

I get my paychecks every two weeks and every time I get them, I seem to spend them right away. and I literally mean... right away. this past week I bought two cute tanks from the store metropark, which usually I would never step foot in there but I love the brand obey so I made the exception ;D. I bought black shorts with suede patches on either side from my store, bcbg (I've been in dire need of a pair of black shorts recently), this really cute striped top with awesome detailing, and a black tank top with patches of sequins, also from bcbg. I bought a black & white striped sweater, a black tank dress with pockets, and a few dresses from my other store, francesca's collections along with a cute silver owl necklace. on top of all of this, I bought a whole new set of makeup that I've needed desperately. I decided I wanted to treat myself so I went for the good stuff... chanel. I now swear to the chanel eyeliner, color: ebony. it doesn't smudge or come off throughout the day, and even if I paid $30 for it... it was definitely worth the purchase!

yup, I did it. I cut my hair off again, and dyed it black. I kind of regret it though, although I do love the color. I just didn't think it'd be this hard to manage short hair! I thought it'd be easy since I would be able to always wear my short hair down, but after the 3rd hair wash, my hair has been a mess. the texture of my hair has been either straw-like or greasy and I'm so sick of it and don't know what to do. I miss my long hair already! I used to have this haircut over a year ago and if I remember correctly I didn't have any problems with it then, but I guess within the past year my hair has turned to shit ... I do have naturally curly hair though, so it is a pain in the ass dealing with short hair since I have to straighten it daily. I also have horrible bed head and it's definitely far from sexy. I should probably use products for my hair since I don't ever do, but I don't know which ones to use! anyone have any tips on how to maintain short hair? thanks! xx

Hey, bloggers! I've been such a bad blogger and I'm so sorry! It's been so long since I last posted in here. I've been so busy lately, but summer is finally here now that school is finally done (even if I bombed my finals) and I can't wait for this summer to start. It's going to be fucking amazing. I started a new job at a really cute store called Francesca's. I'm still working at BCBG though. I can never leave! I love my people there too much ;D but so far Francesca's has been nice. I've been getting a lot of hours & I'm their keyholder so I'm a step up from a sales associate & on top of that, I get paid more. If you've never heard of the store, you should definitely check out the website. They have literally eveeerything from home decor to cute dresses to little accessories that are too adorable not to buy! I actually bought my mom lavender checkered & bow kitchen gloves, an orange-shaped brillo pad, & an ice cream kitchen timer from there for mother's day (happy mother's day btw)!, and I bought myself an Anne Taintor cigarette holder. I just couldn't help myself. Everything is just too adorable! But anyway, that's what's been going on. Work and work and drinking and work. I've been exhausted and drained but I've been having a great time lately. I hope everyone is doing well and I promise to start posting in here more often! I've been addicted to this British show, Skins for a while now. The 4th season just ended not too long ago and it was aaaaamazing, as the seasons always are and I will miss this cast just as much as I missed the last one; if not, even more. I just hated how this season was so short! Every two seasons the cast switches, so you can't get used to the cast too much! If you've ever seen Degrassi, it's almost like Degrassi but 10x more epic and raunchy, and 100x better than Degrassi. Sex, drugs, and high school pretty much sums up what Skins is about. What I love about Skins is that they make it so realistic. Everything that happens in Skins, happens in the teenage world today. I know I've been through a lot of fucked up shit starting at a young age, which is why I love this show so much. We can all relate someway or another. I promise you if you start watching it, you won't be able to stop. I promise. My friends got me hooked on it about a year ago and I couldn't stop!! I wish I lived in England.

I took a lovely trip to New York City this past weekend with my sister to visit my aunt. We planned on going to the MoMa to see the Tim burton Exhibit but of course once we got there, it was sold out. Just my luck! I really hope to see it within the next few weeks before it ends. Instead we saw the Picasso exhibit which I'm sure would have been just as good as the Tim Burton one. Afterwards we went to TopShop and I was sucked into everything pretty polka-dotted, lace, ruffled, and heart-shaped but only ended up with these really cute sweatpants. My sister got this really cute cropped light pink polka-dotted cream shirt & another gray cropped shirt that falls long on your back. Both really cute. Next time, I better bring more $$ because I didn't realize how much I would love at TopShop!

So I've been kind of obsessed with polyvore lately. So I wanted to show the rest of my favorites from fashion week! I realize it's late & no one's really talking about fashion week anymore but I haven't really been around to do so. And how could I have a fashion blog without posting my favorites about fashion week?! I can't. Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu really blew me away. I have always loved Miu Miu to pieces but I just really loved this collection. This is a collection I would wear from head to toe. Although, the spring collection was just to die for. As for the Louis collection, it was so elegantly beautiful; very 50s-esque with the curvy silhouette and circle skirts. I just loved everything about it. & I've been a big fan of the cat-eye glasses that have been floating around all over fashion week. I think I need to invest in a pair of my own. Proenza Schouler, Reed Krakoff, Peter Som, and Y-3 I also really loved. I loved the prints on prints in Proenza Schouler's naughty-but-nice schoolgirl collection and Peter Som's. I adored that green tulle dress. I also love, love, love hats; preferably beanies. I love elegancy and beanies together in an outfit to tie in a more casual look. That's what I really loved about Peter Som's collection. Then I loved the simplicity in Reed Krakoff's collection with the oversized sweater over the long skirts with the long slit down the front, the lace-up boots, & leather. & I've been into the whole sporty look lately as well, so I've really been diggin' Y-3's collection for inspiration. I loved the striped scarfs, the leg-warmers, colored sneakers, pointed oxfords, & layers of layers of clothes. I especially liked the bleached blonde highlights in the dark brown ponytail! It's been exactly 1 month since I last posted in here. I don't know why I've stopped posting because I love blogging & I love reading my favorite blogs! Probably because I got bored or busy or sad because I barely have any followers or comments & my layout to my blog isn't pretty like mademoiselle robot's! So I kind of just stopped, hmph. but! I shall continue starting today, march 22, 2010! Kind of exciting, isn't it? Anyway. Fashion week ended not too long ago & I wanted to show my favorites. I'll be sure to show the rest of them in the next post though because I'm not going to be able to fit them all in this one post! I was disappointed in some collections but amazed in others. I can't wait for the spring collection. Cannnnnnnot wait! It's just so upsetting that Alexander McQueen won't be included. Rest in Peace.

Before I talk about this collection, I just want to say that for the next 100,000,000 posts (well, mostly) I'll be posting my favorite collections from fashion week! For the past week I've been sitting on style.com just pressing the 'next' button in anticipation to all of my favorite designers. I've noticed that there was a lot of fur, burnt reds, oranges and browns, thin knee-high socks, platform shoes, and lots and lots of prints! I completely fell in love with the wild and crazy prints on prints on prints. I can't wait to post all of my favorite designers, and here's the first!:

BOY BY BAND OF OUTSIDERS. Scott Sternberg of Boy By Band Of Outsiders took us to the snow covered mountains as he dressed his models in chunky caramel scarves, plaid trousers, chunky sandal platforms, oversize blue-lens sunglasses, and a splash of polka dot or paisley print. I loved how the designer's collection had pieces that were very simple but had a new twist to it, such as the platform sandals that were made with watch straps and a skirt sewn together with actual neckties. These quirky ideas that Sternberg thinks of, makes these pieces so unique and different. I really loved every piece from the thick camel cardigan to the light blue and dark gray vest full of pockets and the black winter trenchcoat with frugs. It's a collection that I definitely see myself wearing!

scottie dog licorice (literally in the shape of a scottie dog), dark choco. caramel & nut clouds, and dark choco. edamame! all so very delicious and comes in the cutest packaging. this is why I love trader joe's.

I was really bummed because Danny Devito was 30 minutes away from my town for this alcohol-bottle signing and I really wanted to go but my friends bailed on me (thanks a lot, douches!) so instead I went into Westfield with my mommy. I was just as excited to go into Westfield as I would have been to see Danny Devito though so it was all okay. We went to Trader Joe's and Crumbs Cupcakes, the two main attractions of why we were going. First off, Trader Joe's is brilliant. I could shop there all day. They have the cutest little cookies, gummies, everything! I was so excited to be there. I should probably get out more if I get really excited over a supermarket, teehee. But anyway, the other place we went to was Crumbs Cupcakes! If you've never been to Crumbs Cupcakes, I advise you check out there website immediately. I mean, now. Cupcakes the size of muffins, dozens of different flavors with delicious frosting and cream in the middle. It's so delicious. Mouth-watering. Me and my mommy bought Candy (a vanilla cupcake topped with m&ms with cream filling), Baba Booey (a chocolate cupcake topped with peanut butter, chocolate frosting, & peanut butter chips and filled with peanut butter cream), Brownie (a chocolate cupcake filled and frosted with chocolate frosting and drizzled with chocolate and topped with brownies!), and last but not least Tiramisu (a vanilla cupcake filled with vanilla custard and topped with vanilla frosting & cocoa powder & coffee & chocolate sprinkles)! My sister is beautiful.

And I'm a little boy.

SNOW DAY. It was really awesome to have a snow day yesterday, especially since class was cancelled and I had a big business test to study for... which I didn't. So I'm really glad I have another week to study! My sister and I went sledding, played in the snow which I haven't done in forever so it was fun. It felt so good to just lay in the cold snow when I was burning hot in all my clothes and my big BCBG MaxAzria coat! which I'm really glad I bought by the way. It was $500 and then went on sale for 75%... absolutely awesome! You could imagine how excited I was since I've been wanting a big, puffy, long coat for the cold winter days. And yesterday was the perfect day for it. And today, since I promised my sister I would go sledding with her again since we have another snow day. It's pretty awesome. This never happens. Ever. I just wish I had enough cigarettes and junk food for this snow day!

JANE MAGNITUDE. This girl right here was definitely born in the wrong time. She is one of the most stylish women I have ever seen with a little 70s twist to her style. Decked out in fur, Chanel, Christian Louboutin heels, beautiful blonde locks; this girl spins heads. Her name is Jane and she resides in Minneapolis. She is a fashion stylist in her city and has the opportunities to go to Paris fashion week, etc. Jane also has her own vintage store online at ebay called Magnitude Vintage which I find incredibly amazing. I've bought a few items from her before and each one I adore to pieces! Jane's style, as you can tell, is very high fashion from Chanel to Yves Saint Laurent to Christian Louboutin, but she adds a little twist of vintage and the 70s to her everyday wear. She's incredible, and not only is her fashion-sense, but so is her personality and talent. She's incredibly sweet and is great at what she does. CATHERINE DENEUVE. This beautiful French actress and model started her film career at the young age of 13. The film that brought her to stardom was the French musical, Les Parapluies de Cherbourg in 1964 by Jacques Demy. Deneuve's role in the musical stood out to directors Roman Polanski and Luis Buñuel which led her to have the lead roles in Polanski's Repulsion in 1965 and Buñuel's Belle de Jour in 1967. I personally love Belle de Jour with all my heart. It's one of my favorite movies, along with Repulsion. So if you haven't seen either of them, I definitely recommend picking up a copy! Catherine Deneuve was also a model. She was considered Yves Saint Laurent's muse, the face of Chanel no. 5 for perfume in the 1970s which caused the perfume sales to skyrocket, and she started designing her own glasses, shoes, jewelry, etc. Deneuve was nominated the world's most beautiful and elegant woman. Can't you tell? She has beauty, charm, and witt. She's one in a million.

EDIE SEDGWICK. Born in California and fled to infamous New York City, Edie Sedgwick became rapidly well-known for her style, short, platinum-blonde hair, streaked-mascara eyes, and being Andy Warhol's muse at the Factory. She became a superstar, just like Warhol said she would, and her life was filled with what a young 20-year old party "It-girl" could ever want. Edie had that spark, that energy in the room. She turned heads, she gave everyone the chills and no one seemed to put their finger on how this young girl did it. But unfortunately, everything Edie had and wanted all unraveled fast. Betrayal, drug use, and death quickly followed. It's extremely sad to know that such a beautiful, young girl had the fame she had, but didn't have enough people caring about her and her health to help her in the end. She was mistreated by the ones she thought loved her the most. It just makes me cringe. "I went to a party once and there was a palm reader there. When she looked at my hand she just — she froze. And I said to her, 'I know. My life line is broken. I know I won’t live past 30.' " She died at 28 years old.

I deleted everything on my blog. I wanted to start out fresh. I guess I'm feeling kind of indifferent these days about everything. I just started school after taking a year and a half off so I'm scared of getting stressed out from school plus everything else going on in my life. I know if I focus, I can do it, so whatever.

ALICE DELLAL. to start off with my "new and improved" blog, here's the wonderful British-Brazilian model. she's probably the most kick-ass, wild & crazy, i-don't-give-a-fuck-what-you-think woman planted on this earth. she's a huge inspiration to me, and I'm sure plenty of other woman around the globe. do you know how badly I want to shave half my head right now because of this woman?! she's incredible. a simple pair of dr. martens, plaid, destroyed denim shorts, fishnets, and a torn up jean vest is not so original on the streets, but on Alice Dellal it's something new and fresh. our eyes lock towards her and we fish out what she'll wear or do next. what the fuck is her secret?
